How to delete a work page
On the work page, I have seen a "Move" button, but no "Delete" button. Is there a way to achieve this? It should also be possible to delete the uploaded score files of the work. As the reason for the deletion is a copyright problem with the text,, no history should be preserved t...

Re: Inconsistent search results
Is there a way to cover all of these cases in a query? In other words: How can I find all work pages where the tag "LinkText" matches the following regular expession? (.*\|)*Magnificat Here "\|" stands for a literal vertical stroke, as it is used as a separator in the CPDL Wiki t...

Inconsistent search results
As grouping does not seem to be supported, I have searched by languages seprately, but unforutnately I obtain inconsistent search results depending on the search method. The Magnificat page https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Magnificat lists 191 settings in English, but a search for "linktext:...

GROUP BY in search results?
Is it possible to do something similar to the "GROUP BY" in SQL (or "table()" in R) when searching CPDL? In particular, I am trying to list and count the languages used for specific texts, e.g. SELECT language, COUNT(*) FROM all_pieces WHERE "LinkText" = 'Magnificat' GR...

Re: New look to works lists on Text pages
Voicing tags like "MultiVoicing|3|n=2|1st=SAB|2nd=ATB" are handled incorrectly. Apparently the second parameter ("3") in this case) is cosidered to be the voicing. See, e.g., the second entry here:

Re: Gloria I w/polyphony
Isaac's alternatim Missa Paschale from CC3 would be the ticket next time Easter rolls around. Wow, this seems to be exctly what the original question was asking for. A facsimile of a modern edition can be found on IMSLP . I guess that cltfakult meant the Gloria listed in the Kyriale for "Tempo...

Re: Slashes (and other characters) in page names
Thanks for the info. What is the best title for a work with a multilingual (not merely a translation) text that uses both texts overlaid (simultaneously)? A natural title would be "Latin incipit / German incipit / English incipit". Is there some other delimeter that is recommended and that...

Typo in title inadvertantly created two work pages
Dear CPDL maintainers, due to a typo in the title field, I have created to work pages for the same piece. It includes in total six arrangements, but one was addtionally created because I fixed the tiypo during uploading this arrangement in the "Add new edition" form: https://www.cpdl.org/w...

Re: Musica Ficta in Mateo Flecha's Teresica Hermana
What is your question? I guess you refer to the consecution of F sharp and B flat in bar 86, which seems to be against the ficta rules. But as the tablature by Fuenllana is un refutable evidence that this progression was used indeed , whay would you want to change it? Note that this same cadence als...

Re: Preserving the legacy of Tom Lehrer
Great that you are willing to take the trouble! I wonder whether the copyright disclaimer on Tom Lehrer's website should be copied on every work page, or only once on his composer/lyricist page (the latter currently don't exist on CPDL). There seems to be no fitting pre-defined license on CPDL that ...

Preserving the legacy of Tom Lehrer
Dear CDPL team, recently, Tom Lehrer has made his songs freely available on https://tomlehrersongs.com and put them into the public domain. The website includes the following notce: THIS WEBSITE WILL BE SHUT DOWN AT SOME DATE IN THE NOT TOO DISTANT FUTURE, SO IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING, DON’T ...

Re: The C word
I agree that purely instrumental music should be posted elsewhere, e.g. on IMSLP, which already has an entry for Thomas Mancinus (it only has one entry, a vocal collection, but IMSLP is for vocal and instrumental music alike): https://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Mancinus,_Thomas Can someone of the CPDL ...

Re: Madrigals and Partsongs Set in Chinese
It is a pity that noone has answered so far. This might be due to the fact that CPDL has no support for translations: there is not even a systematic way to specify meta information about a translation like, e.g., the translator, publication year, copyright status etc. This should not prevent you, ho...

Re: How to sing polyphonic Agnus Dei
For a more informed answer, you might post your question at https://forum.musicasacra.com/ . If you feel that Agnus I + Agnus II misses one repetition, or if even this is too long, a simple solution is to sing parts as chant from the Kyriale, e.g. Agnus I polyphonic - chanted Agnus I - Agnus II poly...
