Is it possible to script changes to edition URL format?
We have thousands of CPDL editions posted with URLs of the form https://www.notamos.co.uk/123456.shtml. I would ideally like to change these to https://www.notamos.co.uk/detail.php?scoreid=123456 (I have made this change manually to the link on https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/In_dulci_jubilo_(Gr...

Database access problems on site
Yesterday and today I have experienced database access error messages: Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties. Try waiting a few minutes and reloading. (Cannot access the database) Backtrace: #0 /home/cpdlorg/public_html/wiki/includes/libs/rdbms/loadbalancer/LoadBalancer.php(972): W...

Random appearance of Foreground skin when not logged in
For several weeks we have been seeing the Foreground skin pop up on random pages, but only when not logged in. The next CPDL page accessed always returns to Vector. It is possible that this only happens when the most recently logged in account is Christopher's (cjshawcj) - I have not yet seen it in ...

Re: Cancel culture
Hi Max Following Christopher's findings I have done some more research. I find that populating the email1 field autopopulates the 3 fields above it, both on Edge and on Chrome; Christopher had the same experience, but with the email2 field, and only on Edge. I imagine differences in browser versions...

Re: Cancel culture
Many thanks Max as always. I must admit I had missed the accessibility point. We will be publishing a dozen or so scores over the next few days so will test with those early next week if that's ok.

Re: Cancel culture
What a pain for you Max! Sounds like a plan. I have done that on a website in the past to prevent harvesting of 'phone numbers, I have a tool to generate the images using ImageMagick, so happy to help with this if useful.

Re: Cancel culture
Hi Max, many thanks for your help. Unfortunately I have just had another go and on both Edge and Chrome the first name is put in the Composer field and the last name in the Lyricist field - ignoring the form field names of these fields altogether. The only way to control this seems to be to switch o...

Re: Cancel culture
Hi Claude, i have looked into this issue given that it has never happened to either of us in our many previous completions of the form. As you say this is clearly an autofill issue but I would suggest that the real problem is CPDL's use of 'name' as the name of the 'Name of composer' field: Name of ...

Re: Mysterious behaviour of Add New Work
Ah, OK Max, that does make sense (I must admit I never really understood what those links were doing there in the first place - I just assumed it was part of the standard setup). I won't bother to add them in future.

Re: Mysterious behaviour of Add New Work
P.S. I've just also spotted that a setting of a psalm (122) has automatically been listed on the relevant psalm page when I used the LinkText template, any other changes I should be taking into account? Thanks!

Mysterious behaviour of Add New Work
Hi I've just started putting up a new batch of scores having not done so since February. The Composer page entry that is auto-generated seems to have lost its automatic link to the score, I am having to add them all manually. The link against the edition on the Score page is fine. Is there something...

Re: Mass not appearing in Masses category listing
Ah, thanks, that makes (sort of) sense - I hadn't thought to look under M.
My opinion would be, in this specific case, that people are likely to refer to/search for a Mass by composer first and then by title.
