Slashes (and other characters) in page names
I have observed and corrected a number of page-name errors recently. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE CHARACTERS SLASH (/) OR AMPERSAND (&) IN PAGE NAMES! – Because both are used in MediaWiki programming, these will cause errors that only become evident in lists (such as SortWorks on a composer page or Mul...

Re: Multi-Category Search Results Limit or Pagination
Great trick, Max!
And here it is on one CPDL page:
https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/BarryJ/MultiCatList
(I have trouble using such long lists. I suggest further limits to the search!)

Re: Multi-Category Search Results Limit or Pagination
At this point, you would need to create a new page in your personal space, and run the template as Chuck says above – but I can't find "lwist" on cpdl.org. Perhaps you are registered there under a different username?

Re: Google search not displaying CPDL results
I just put "DuckDuckGo Search" in my Google search bar (on Firefox), now I can search with that without changing my default search engine (Google). I tried searching on one of my recent composers, Samuel Wakefield. DuckDuckGo gives much more reasonable results, including several CPDL ones ...

Composer: Anonymous (Medieval Organum, c. 1000-1100)
I came across this "composer" recently, because currently it sorts under "1" in the list of composers. So far, only one work page ( here ), added earlier this year; on this page, Composer is listed as Anonymous. I reached out to the editor involved, but he hasn't responded yet. T...

Re: Preserving the legacy of Tom Lehrer
Chris, I am a long-time fan of Tom Lehrer since about 1962. I think CPDL would be "appropriate", though I suspect Lehrer never intended his songs to be "appropriate". I would be willing to copy them here, if there is enough interest, especially the songs he wrote. Thanks for brin...

Re: Add works internal error
I suspect that the issue is the square brackets ( [ ] ) in the title. Since the title becomes part of the internet address and is used in several computer programs, special programming characters such as { } [ ] < > / \ | & @ % * + in the title usually cause problems. You should do the Add Work ...

Re: Each composer a lyricist?
You are correct, LyricistSettingsList should not appear on new composer pages, and I have removed it. Sorry for the delay.

Re: How to present the Genre information
Thank you, Chuck. I stand corrected.
About capitalization, I agree with you, and I will make the corrections as you ask. This is standard practice in MediaWiki. Does "General Information" also need correction?

Re: How to present the Genre information
1. I went through all the works with Genre|Other. All of them were converted to other values for Genre; there were several that appeared to need new values. I propose we add these two as Genres: Textless – For works originally without words, and Genre cannot be otherwise determined by the context (a...

I just went through 27 work pages with Genre|Unknown – it is as I suspected. There aren't any really "unknown" ones, not any more at least.

Yes. {{cat|}} could be added to the Description, or even to a Pub template, if there is an appropriate one.

Re: How to present the Genre information
Thanks for the comments, Richard! 1 – I agree with "user's point of view". "Polyphonic Lied" should be "Polyphonic Lieder" (plural); this subgenre was there last year, but I cannot find it now. I should have omitted it in this year's list. 2 – I see your point about &qu...

Re: How to present the Genre information
Please see introduction to ChoralWiki:Subgenres , with counts at ChoralWiki:Subgenres/Counts . 1 . Subgenres are still confused and confusing, but it appears the problem will continue to persist. It could be resolved if we could all agree on a classification (as implied in Carlos' first post above),...
