The evaluation version of Finale Allegro will allow opening .ETF files, then saving in Finale .MUS or MusicXML format. Once in .MUS or MusicXML, it can be opened in Reader or Notepad. I did notice some text alignment issues though, where the text was under different notes in Allegro than in the PDF....
