Re: Roman Catholic uses Psalm 13, 70, 100, and 130 in the y
http://www.bombaxo.com/rclcompp.html has a useful table comparing the Book of Common Prayer, the Catholic lectionary and the Revised Common Lectionary, but be aware that these are only the Gradual Psalms: many of the minor propers ( http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Mass_propers ) are bas...

Re: Voicing categories
2 & 3 part voicings have been well served; is there a way to make pieces appear on [[Category:7 part choral music]] & [[Category:9 part choral music]] as well as the subcategories (many of them empty)?

Re: How to present the Genre information
What if the template read "Genre categories:(names)", sidestepping changing plurals to singulars? Otherwise we seem to be dealing one by one with cases like "Genre:Tenebrae responsorie".

Re: Voicing categories
Hi Carlos, It's not only a question of searching by number alone: I just tried adding 7|SATB to The Bard of Eve and then went to Multicat search, but "number" is overridden by "voicing", that is, I got results for 4|SATB. Is there any present obstacle to having Number functional ...

Re: Sorting titles by composer
Thanks, that does answer my question. Sounds like work, though

Re: Voicing categories
Maybe there's a concensus forming about some divisi being optional; in Britten's St. Cecilia they are ossia to the original SSATB soli version, now only available on rental. Another SSATB piece I love is Allen Shearer's Beauty is a Shell from the Sea: the few ten note chords at the end have never st...

Re: Voicing categories
I would guess there are as many one-per-part users as not of some of our favorite repertoire, like Ockeghem or the Eton choirbooks. A problem I see with minimum number searches is that it's just not as rewarding for an octet to sing pieces with the odd divisi, while it can be worthwhile for a smalle...

Sorting titles by composer
I was just looking at the O sacrum convivium settings at Category:Corpus Christi and noticed they're nicely sorted by composer first name. Is there a simple solution, or is that the reason IMSLP settled on the less elegant Title (Last, First) convention?

Re: that prolific and long-lived composer...
Sure: I was imagining finding [[Nobis Est Natus (Anonymous)]] in a subcategory of [[Category:Anonymous compositions]] named [[Category:Codex Speciálník compositions]], and fantasized that somebody could program things to achieve that with a code like: {{Composer|Anonymous}}<br> Publication: [[Codex ...

Re: that prolific and long-lived composer...
I just had another idea while looking at [[Nobis Est Natus (Anonymous)]]. Could the composer template be made to automatically subcatagorize anonymous pages that had a link in the published: field? Also stumbled on Category:Music facsimiles: how was this meant to be used?

Anglican chant
James Gibb pointed out on my talk page that the dropdown "Add scores" menu adds "Anglican Chant" as a subgenre choice with upper case C instead of the blue linked "Anglican chant". Can this be fixed easily or should a redirect be created? I'm afraid the disambiguation o...

Re: that prolific and long-lived composer...
Yikes, I moved a few things from Anon to Gregorian chant, which I'll wager is about to hit the 200 barrier if it hasnt already: this could certainly be organized in a non-A-Z fashion, given a(nother) volunteer (Gregorian Chant by Season categories?). If Anon were to be a category, I think it could b...

that prolific and long-lived composer...
I just made a Category:Trent codices, thinking it would help to have subcategories of anonymous. The latter, however, is treated as a composer page and apparently maintained by hand! Is it best to leave it this way and just add lots of external links to the editions by Renato Calcaterra and others?

Re: List of categories
Thanks, the box now looks more conspicuous than it did to me before  The many red links make this a target-rich environment for someone with too much time on their hands. I of course made Category:Circumcision for the Mouton setting of the Gospel, and it seemed good to have it as a sub cat sin...

List of categories
The list at [[Categories]] isnt editable (which may be just as well) but it might be more fun if there was an alphabetical navigation bar: by the time I had scrolled through the numbers and gotten to people whose first names begin with A, I forgot what I was looking for (maybe it was a category for ...
