Re: Making contents of an opus searchable
Yes, you understood. And no, only the piece itself on each 'work' page. Regarding a complete PDF on the publication page, it has be done in the past, but better put a link to the whole work reachable through an external link, if possible.

Re: Making contents of an opus searchable
Our architecture is one 'work' page per musical composition, that is one work page for a two-parts madrigal, one work page for a five-'movements' mass, etc. On a five-movements work page, please create one edition (CPDL number) per movement. On each work page, use the 'Pub' field (see Template:Pub p...

Re: Cancel culture
When one fills the ‘AddWork’ form, for example creating a new work, with his web browser’s « Fill forms’ fields automatically » function activated, the web browser fills the first field (composer name) with your first data kept to fill automatically forms, your first name! So, please check (first) f...

Re: MXL version of updated edition
When a user uploads a file with same file name as an already existing file, and which content is identical, I think the system does... nothing and do not deliver any error message. When a user uploads a file with same file name as an already existing file, but which content is different, two cases: ...

Re: Searching the site
In the left panel of any CPDL page (upper part), you'll find "Multi-Category Search" (or something like that - I see "Recherche multicritères" in French).

Re: Uploading new edition
0. A new edition is created, on an existing work page, by clicking on 'Add new edition' in the upper right part or the work page. 1. To overwrite an old version of a file by a new one, click on the white icon just right to the file icon. On the file'spage that appear, click on 'Upload a new version ...

Re: Multiple parts
We have generally one work (composition) by work page (including all work's 'movements' and/or editions). For a publication, we have publication pages (see 'Category:Music publications' in the search bar). So, please, create one work page per work, not a work page for a publication chapter. For each...

Re: Work added to Composer Page disappeared
Music files aren't supposed to be linked from composer page, but from the corresponding work page. If the work page already exists, click on 'Add new edition' in the upper right part of the work page. If not, click on 'Add new work', on the composer page. In both cases, fill the AddWork form (upload...

Re: Too much glee ascribed to Callcott.
I've merged "Oh! sovereign" pages (recent edition to previous one, to keep page history) without leaving a redirect and merged "Sir John Hawkins' History of Music" to https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/The_historians_(John_Wall_Callcott) (its original title), leaving a redirect ...

Under Firefox, it's like shown below, without any coloration/layout (sorry, I don't know how to insert a screen capture here, except an orphan image file uploaded to our web site :-(). Through Microsoft Edge and Chrome, the same bunch of text appears just a while, then is shown like you show it. So ...

Re: RSS feed for new works?
When I click on 'Atom' in the left pane, it produces an error message, promptly overwritten by a bunch of data.
