Re: When does the "New" logo disappear?
FWIW, I don't feel strongly about 6 months vs. 3 months.

Re: how to do a boolean AND regarding categories?
Oh, my! This is wonderful, thanks.
By the way, is there a wiki book you recommend? I'm considering the MediaWiki book from O'Reilly.

how to do a boolean AND regarding categories?
Is there a way to create a page in my sandbox that would display, the way Latin text requests are listed, a page listing Renaissance sacred pieces in Latin on CPDL? The goal is to avoid using the search feature and have the output sorted alphabetically and be able to jump to a given starting letter ...

Re: Looking for music scores
Hi, and welcome. If you don't find pieces on CPDL and they're out of copyright, you might want to post a Request for pieces you're particularly interested in at http://www.choralwiki.net/wiki/index.php/ChoralWiki:Request_a_Score. If you encounter any difficulties, let us know. Good luck in your sear...

Re: Why not CC?
An additional question is what legal safe harbors are available for organizations such as CPDL if we follow a published process for responding to copyright-related requests, so we do not have the obligation to police every score submitted if the person uploading it makes certain representations. Ins...

Re: Works from the issues of Pierre Attaignant
Agreed that Anonymous has way too many entries, but if it's technically accurate then there is nothing to be done. The suggestion to create an additional way of gathering these works is a great idea--mention of the editor and the collection will still help find them, even if the composer is Anonymous.

Re: Why not CC?
I really appreciate your posting your thoughts--it helps us frame what questions we should be asking. I'm especially unfamiliar with the International differences and how they come into play. It's also useful to hear about your reasons for choosing the particular copyright permissions you granted fo...

Re: I will sing forever
Nice song. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Libera-Visions/dp/B000BMUVGK claims that the song is original. I imagine Libera's website would have information about contacting them with an inquiry: http://www.libera.org.uk/

Re: CPDL in Read Only mode during server migration
I love the term "teething problem"!
Read-only mode still seems on, from what I can see. I'm getting the View Source option instead of the Edit option on a score page and a user's talk page.
Thanks for all the efforts on the migration.

Re: rodeby.noteperfect.net/ moving to cantatedomino.org
If it's under a meg, please do send. Otherwise, I can supply a separate e-mail address to use for large files.
Thanks.
The editor I found has 34 scores linked to his page. At what point numerically should we generally establish a variable like we did for the Victoria pages?
Thanks.

Re: Main site: Login credentials clobbered?
Can you say more about what you were seeing that made you think your credentials had gotten clobbered? I ask because I thought the same thing when I tried to edit pages and it just put me into View Source mode but would not allow me to edit anything. I waited a while to see if that feature was just ...

rodeby.noteperfect.net/ moving to cantatedomino.org
I recall that there were some links pointing to rodeby.noteperfect.net but their corresponding scores could not be found. That site now says they are transitioning scores to http://www.cantatedomino.org/cd/index.shtml?Start.txt. Is there a way to find a list of scores that reference rodeby.noteperfe...

Re: Need biographical info on Ernest Charles
A musicologist friend replied as follows, in case it helps. ---" Never heard of him! If the quester has already looked at Grove, I'm not sure I can come up with anything more without hard core research. A quick Google search comes up with this: http://www.answers.com/topic/ernest-charles (hardl...
