Re: Cancel culture

I frequently deal with visually impaired internet users, who make use of screen readers to have the contents of web pages translated into audible information. For this reason I wanted to try an alternative solution first, which should be compatible with screen readers: autocompletion.gif Could you p...

Re: Cancel culture

Browser trying to be very much too clever based on the prompts all saying '(First_name Last_name)', I suppose? Yes, apparently they read the '(First_name Last_name)' text labels and overwrite anything already present in those fields. Quite crazy, indeed. A possible workaround may be a CAPTCHA-alike...

Re: Cancel culture

Unable to submit new editions, to upload files, etc.: registration process to be completed

This is a recurring subject that is worth to highlight here on the forums. Some years ago CPDL was literally overwhelmed by spammers, who created hundreds of fake registrations and published thousands of fake pages. CPDL administrators were forced to activate an additional user validation system tha...

Re: Gmail address misunderstood

Hi David, your email address is accepted. You can check it yourself: simulate a new submission without entering one or more mandatory fields (for example, without entering any files, or the editor name, etc.), and enter your email address where required. When you click the submission button the syst...

Thank you for willing to contribute!

Recovering the old username is definitely feasible. I'll privately contact you as we may have to exchange confidential information.

Where/when did you get a "Line 143" error message?

Hi Elam, I've withdrawn the three editions that you specified. It goes without saying that we would be happy to replace the withdrawn editions with new ones that you may wish to submit.

Re: Deleting old works

Many users may have downloaded your editions over the years, and we have to ensure that they can continue using them according to the copyright terms that were applicable at that time. As a consequence, editions are never actually deleted: they are archived, and we have to document the fact that suc...
