Re: Use of API for commercial purpose
What you propose would work for us and we are interested in helping with your project. We feel we need to ensure that: * It is clear to the user that your app is not operated by CPDL and that CPDL is not a data controller related to the app's data; * That the CPDL logo when referenced identifies CPD...

Re: Use of API for commercial purpose
We think this is likely workable, as long as (it doesn't sound as though this would be the case) the app does not obfuscate the licensing terms of the the content (e.g. scores). Also, there's the caveat just FYI that the API is updated every now and then and may break things for you if a change affe...

Re: Sing along songs
(Replying belatedly:) If you are still looking for ideas, please post more information. My sing-alongs tend to have a strong focus on the 1480s or 1980s, but I'm not sure what type of sing-along gathering you have in mind. For example, it would help to know more about the style of music you seek (sa...

For example, I like El Aparecido, by Victor Jara, which appears 42 minutes into this video:

Re: Songs of freedom and struggle
Some pieces to throw into the mix in case any fit what you're looking for: Years ago I heard the New York Choral Society sing Paul Alan Levi's Dayenu, A Passover Oratorio, which covers both the Exodus from Egypt and an escape from a concentration camp during the Holocaust. There was one particular m...

Re: Can I use CPDL tracks in Youtube videos?
I'm replying belatedly. Not sure what type of tracks or playlists you're looking for, but I'll try to address generally. Generally, CPDL sound files do not have human voices, but rather use computer renderings of human voices which may not be as appealing as human voices. If a CPDL contributor has p...

Re: Can I search for SSA a cappella scores only?
Yes. You can use the Multi-Category Search feature on the left side of the CPDL site. It allows you to select restrictions for search results which include a cappella and specific voicing such as SSA and all sorts of other search categories. Please post here if you encounter any issues in trying it.
