Hi again John, Ah, you too have discovered that the only place to get the CPDL # is from the output of the Addworks form, and it is very easy to close that window before saving the information. A copy is sent to Raf Ornes for posting if the contributor does not post the score, but there is a conside...

Hi John, Many thanks for you Earwaker editions. I just read this posting and then looked at the "Recent changes" page at CPDL and see that you must have figured out that you must run the Add works form and get the CPDL number from the page that this form returns when you submit the form. :...

Welcome to CPDL, Xotan. It is good to have you join us. Several of us (myself included) also do arranging and composing. Singing the Kodály Missa Brevis must have been a real joy for you!

Best wishes,

Chuck

It opens in Finale 2007 but not in Finale 2006 or earlier.

Nice score, by the way! :)

Hi Sabine, CPDL doesn't list the Morales or Stadlmayr works you cite, nor the Rütti work which Mandy Shaw cite (of course Handl = Gallus). But the O magnum mysterium page does list the following additional works by Brooks-Davies, de Cristo, da Esperança, Garcia, Lourenço, Moreira, Nasco, Perti. I've...

I changed the title of this thread and marked it as an announcement, so that it appears at the top of this forum. I've no idea what sort of thing has caused the current unavailability of CPDL, but I hope it was not another crash, since many volunteers have been working steadily at restoring various ...

That's not true. There is also the Latin spoken and sung in 15th-16th century Britain, distinctly different from ecclesiatical (italianate) Latin and from germanic Latin.

I'm reminded how many (at least American) choral conductors insist their choristers pronounce excelsis ... namely as "eggshell sis" ... which really grates on my nerves. I think they are seeking to make (too) easy the pronunciation "eks-chel-sis" - as opposed to pronunciation &qu...

Hi again, "Admin" refers to Rafael Ornes, who founded CPDL and is the chief administrator. There are others of us who are "Beaurocrats or Sysops" who can do a lot of things at CPDL, but, as currently set up, if a user opts to have his/her scores posted by CDPL, it is Raf who does...

Hello Mandy and Christopher, Your scores are much appreciated, Christopher, and will be posted (I'm sure) in due time, although there is undoubtedly a backlog and the Memorial Day weekend to contend with, which contribute to the delay. CPDL has no paid staff and so the work done here is done entirel...

Haydn's Theresienmesse performed in Hudson, WI

Just a note that this Sunday, March 18, I will be singing in a concert by the Phipps Oratorio Society and Orchestra of Hudson, Wisconsin which will feature a performance of Franz Joseph Haydn's Massin B-flat (1799), also known as the Thereseinmesse (Theresa Mass) . Also on the concert will be the Mo...

You might have a look at the article at Answers.com or at the page Neugierig werden auf Musik von Krzysztof Penderecki (in German).

Penderecki is one of my favorite modern choral composers.
