Entered a new work - never copied code...

Post by Tyler Rusco »

Hey everyone,

I just joined and submitted my first score. I uploaded the file first, and then completed the Add Works form but never copied the resulting code - it said something about an admin completing this for me? Was I supposed to copy the code and do something with it, or will it appear on the wiki as normal? What should I do from here?

Hi Tyler

Thanks for your contribution and welcome!

Short answer: don't worry, as long as you completed the add works form and uploaded the files, your edition will be posted in due course (probably by me!).

Long answer: When the add works form is completed, the information is emailed to a few admins who are responsible for posting new editions. This happens whether or not the contributor posts the edition themselves. The admins go through the emails and post the editions that haven't already been posted. This process obviously happens when the admin has set aside some of their free time to post new editions so it can be sporadic. The next time I'll be adding new editions will probably be this weekend.

Cheers,
