Crecquillon - Pater peccavi

Post by Artvark »

Greetings, I'm just trying to post something here for the first time in a few years. I followed the guide up to the "optional" section, and assumed that someone at the administrative end would finish the posting. But it has now been a couple of weeks, so I am starting to think that something has gone wrong. What do I do to verify the status of this submission? Please advise.

You can check the "upload log" under "Special pages" and then "logs": this work was uploaded on June 25, so it's probably still in the pipeline for being processed.

Hi Artvark. Thanks for contributing your edition! I can confirm that you submitted it correctly and it's in a queue of editions that I (and others) add to the wiki. Holidays and other commitments have meant that the backlog is larger than usual but I hope to get through most of it today. Please don't take any further action.

In general terms, users only need to query a submission if it hasn't appeared on the site a month after the date they submitted.

A fabulous piece! Thanks for contributing it. Someone had requested this piece some time ago, so I was able to mark the request Completed thanks to your edition.

I've sung it up a minor third, and it sat nicely. Does anyone know what key the Tallis Scholars use on their recording?

I sought out the submission form and posted the work, because Crecquillon is one of my favorite of the somewhat neglected Renaissance Flemish masters (I've contributed a few of his works here!). The Pater peccavi is a fabulous work, and I'm so happy that it has been made available to CPDL. Many, many thanks. :)
