How to open CPDL .ETF files from Finale Reader/Notepad?

I have Finale Reader version 2009.r1 and Finale Notepad 2007.r1 but have been unable to open the Finale ETF files for:
- CPDL #1449 In dulci jubilo, a 8 (Michael Praetorius)
- CPDL #178 Ecce concipies (Jacob Handl)
- CPDL #324 Exultate Deo (Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina)

Is there something I'm missing here, or are these files unable to be opened without the full Finale version?

If this is impossible, would someone be so kind as to provide MusicXML versions of the three pieces? Ideally I'd like to be able to open them in Musictime Deluxe 4.

Hi, I was able to open the In dulci jubilo ETF file in Sibelius 5, but the option to export it to MusicXML is not available in my version!
(no trace of MusicXML in the "Save as" / "Export" menus)

If the SIB format might be of any help, just let me know.

It looks like Sibelius 5.1, which is a free upgrade, does support MusicXML for both import and export if you're interested: http://www.sibelius.com/news/press130.html

In the meantime, I'm looking at the demo version of Sibelius 6 - thanks for the pointer. I'm new to this, so all the different notation programs are both confusing and fascinating

The evaluation version of Finale Allegro will allow opening .ETF files, then saving in Finale .MUS or MusicXML format. Once in .MUS or MusicXML, it can be opened in Reader or Notepad. I did notice some text alignment issues though, where the text was under different notes in Allegro than in the PDF. I'm not sure if that's a problem with the source or the translation though.
