A few months ago, I uploaded a new edition of selected movements from Anerio's Missa pro defunctis. Shortly thereafter, user Claude T added an MXL file to the edition created be exporting my PDF. The file is full of errors due to its poor creation method.
I don't mind uploading an MXL exported from the original Musescore file, but I don't have permission to overwrite Claude T's file. How can this be rectified?
I also have a bit of an issue with Claude T's action here - surely if an MXL file is so necessary, they could have messaged me to request I add one, instead of taking it upon themselves to suboptimally generate it from the PDF?

Hi, Gerard,
Thank you for your contributions.
I've removed my MXL file, to make way for your version.
You're right, your version will be better.
Many editors add now an MXL version without asking, as XML files are more useful than MIDI ones.

Thanks Claude, I've uploaded and added the MXL.
As an aside, the "Add file to edition" button on a file page results in an error

You're welcome, Gerard.
On a file-history page, it's not "Add file to an edition", it's "Add a new version of this file"
and... it works
