One work | two files

Post by Ucypano »

Good afternoon. I wish to upload a multi-movement baroque cantata (a new work for Choral Wiki) not only with its full-score (1 file) but also with its various instrumental parts and the vocal score (1 file). How best to do this? Perhaps someone will direct me to a place on Choral Wiki where a choral and orchestral work appears with more than one file? I could create one large file with everything in it, but it would be rather large. ~~~~

Hi, Andrew,
Thanks for your contributions to CPDL.

1. Yes, an edition can count more than one file. Apart from one full score, a sound file and a source/interchange format file, considering that the AddWork form has only one line for each, if you want to publish separate instruments parts, basso continuo for example, you will have to follow two steps: a) upload the file clicking on "Upload a file" in the left pane of any CPDL page and b) Edit your edition on the regarding work page, copying a link on the left, pasting it on the right and changing name/extension according to the exact name of the additional file like here : https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Lae ... e_Galuppi) or there : https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Ant ... gor_Zangl)

2. Multimovements works like Cantatas, Masses, Magnificats should appear with all movements on same work page with subdivision like Kyrie, Gloria and so on like there: https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Mis ... ph_Dalitz)

Each movement of a mutimovements work may have a full score and parts score in a same edition, as at point one.
