Users are generally not aware of the Requests function, so don't know about this for updating when they complete a score or when deciding which pieces to do editions of.

Would it be possible to have any requests that are formatted using the full template automatically show up on some subsection of the composer's page? What do people think of this idea?

I'm pretty sure it's possible, using DPL and categorization techniques. Let me think about it and give it a try. More or less the idea is to have a DPL listing on the composer page that (only if there are requested works outstanding) creates a section listing such requests.
