just noticed that Rob has marked the edition

as erronous due to "incomplete text underlay", even though the editor has taken great pains to make the edition as close to the source as possible, and at the same time quite usable for modern singers. It should be noted that there is no unique solution for the text underlay, so every "complete text underlay" would deprive the singers of (possibly better fitting) realizations.

Are Urtext editions considered erronous on CPDL?

If yes, that would be a pity IMO because I am glad that some editions on CPDL have been prepared with such great care like this one.

Thanks for your comments, Chris. I suppose I initially thought that this edition was not suitable for performance because it did not prescribe the text underlay for all of the parts, nor does it indicate where the syllables should be placed. I didn't appreciate that the edition could be useful for some people who do not browse CPDL for performing editions. I would be happy if the score error template is removed and some appropriate notes made under "edition notes".
