Finding good arrangements

Post by emendez »

Hi,
My name is Eduardo. I belong to the Gospel Choir at Boadilla del Monte (Madrid, Spain) public music school.

We are becoming a nice choir, but the more we become, the more difficult it is to us to find nice arrangements for gospel songs. Either they are too classical, or they are about no gospel songs. The repertoire of the few arrangers that better fit with our taste are almost exhausted. To give just one example of nice arranger I would say Kirby Shaw.

We would love to find arrangements in the style of Shirley Cesar, Andrae Crouch or similar, but they are not arrangements for choir of her best songs, and those that exist are mostly for soloists with very few choir parts. We are starting to become a little despair...

Anybody can help?

Thanks and regards, Eduardo

What about commissioning arrangements from arrangers that you deem fitting? Just contact Krby Shaw and the others.
