Handel's 'Coronation Anthems' and Telemann's 'Hamburgische Trauermusik'

There can be no coronation without a funeral. For our November concert we're performing Handel's four sublime anthems, including the famous "Zadok the Priest," written for the coronation of George II in 1727, as well as Telemann's gorgeous instrumental work for the funerals of two mayors of Hamburg from the same time period.
Come enjoy an afternoon concert with chorus and period orchestra in Harvard Square. Free parking is available for concert goers at the garage at 7 Felton St., Cambridge.
