Hallo!

Barbara

Hi Barbara,

There is no general answer to your question, because different works at CPDL may have different copyright status. Also, the country where your website servers are located can make a difference. Could you please be more specific?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_ ... witzerland the "death + 70 years" rules applies to Switzerland. Therefore, I think there is no doubt that this work is in the public domain now in your country (Schubert died in 1828, and the lyricist, Walter Scott, died in 1832).

The score edition and the associated MIDI file have been released by the editor, Pawel Jura, under the CPDL license policy, so please refer to http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/ChoralWiki:CPDL for details about using CPDL-licensed editions. I think that the most important item is that you credit CPDL and mention the CPDL copyright policy in your video, for example at the beginning and/or at the end.
