Choral Public Domain Library

I have found a copy of this here at a Canadian site like ours.

I have also found a different version on everynote.com here:

Are either one legal for use with a choir to reproduce as many as you want? I understand there are some copyright laws dealing with page layouts and that is why very few scores are scanned in like these. Anyone know if these are ok to use? I have also seen that some people have had issues with everynote.com. Is this a credible site then?

If not, is anyone making this file?

The edition on IMSLP is in the public domain, you may reproduce it at will. The edition at Everynote is not free, I suppose you'll have to buy one copy for each singer (i.e., photocopying not allowed). But be aware that various editions that can be downloaded freely on IMSLP or even here on CPDL have been reportedly found for sale on Everynote. See the links below for more info:

On a second look, I just realized that the edition for sale on Everynote is exactly the same one available on IMSLP, except for a slightly different title, which only confirms what was said above.

I've noticed that it is a scan of an original score though. I guess many of the cpdl scores are not scans b/c of US copyrights having to do with the graphical layout of the music. Anyone know if it still within US guidelines to reproduce this piece at will?

These questions about IMSLP scores should be more properly submitted to the IMSLP Forums (http://imslpforums.org). Anyway, as I'm a forum moderator both at CPDL and at IMSLP, let's stay here. The score of Te Deum at IMSLP was published in 1896. Dvorak died in 1904, and the author of the piano reduction in 1935. Therefore, this score is in the public domain virtually everywhere, as it meets the requirements for public domain in all major areas of copyright regulations: it was published before 1923 (one of the main public domain conditions in the U.S.); typographical copyright has expired (it's 25 years in most countries where it applies); all authors died more than 50 years ago (e.g., copyright terms of Canada where IMSLP servers are located) or 70 years ago (e.g., terms of EU).

Being public domain, anybody can do whatever he wants with it. It could be also published here on CPDL. However, to avoid duplications, CPDL is mostly focused on new "digital" editions of public domain choral works, that the author of the digital typeset kindly releases to public under the CPDL license policy or similar "copyleft" policies (e.g., Creative Commons). IMSLP is mostly focused on scanned editions of relatively old scores of any music (not only choral), where any type of copyright, including typographical copyright, has expired at least in Canada.
