I am trying to find a catlogue of Schutz works (spefically the index pages to the complete edition so I know which volume to go to without pulling them out one by one )

Previously I went to (IIRC) http://www.baerenriter.com/ but this domain does not now appear to exist :x

So can someone point me either to a revised Baerenriter site, or an alternative source of the Schutz info. My main interest at them moment are solo / duet items such as "Fili mi absalon" and "Iss mein Brot".

I think you spelled it wrong. didn't you mean http://www.baerenreiter.com ?

I don't know if this is what you had in mind: http://www.hoasm.org/VIA/SchutzWorks.html

I couldn't find the precise thing you want on either website mentioned above: i.e. an index by SWV number to the volumes of the complete works edition.

Grove and MGG both have a listing of the SWV catalogue and the volume and page number of the complete Schütz works where you can find the corresponding edition: but you'll need a subscription to grovemusic.com or find a library with a good music reference section for Grove's Dictionary.

have you tried to access the Guide to Monuments and Collections of Music by Hyer? (not sure that's the exact title). if the schutz collected works came out before the Hyer in the 1980's sometime then the index will be included in that book. let me know if you need more info and i can be more specific with title, call number, etc...
