i dont know if you are familar with any of Eric Whitacre's works, but the choir who sings his music on his CD are AMAZING. They are the Brigham Young University Singers.....they are my personal favorite....
By the way, i love carmina burana! (especially the 'en taberna' section)

I'm a little surprised that the Tallis Scholars, The Sixteen, and Anonymous 4 aren't on the list (for early music). For a group with more expansive repertoire and totally different choral sound, one might include the Dale Warland Singers. The Russian chamber choir "Lege Artis" is notable for its performances and recordings of the choral works of Ippolitov-Ivanov. Others may find Chanticleer or Voices of Ascension to their liking. I have generally liked very much the performances and recordings of various English choirs (usually cathedral choirs). Personally, I most enjoyed my 12 seasons singing with Zephyrus.

Interestingly, I sang in a Peter Philips master class with Zephyrus (when the group was in its second year, I believe). The experience was marvellous.i'm making a workshop next week with their maestro Peter Philips
