New scores appearing on CPDL - delay

Hallo

On Saturday I added quite a few scores through this link:
http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/form/work.htm

This is my first foray onto CPDL as a contributor, though I have used other people's contributions extensively in the past.

Only two of the scores have actually appeared on CPDL so far:
Blow, blow thou winter wind Thomas Augustine Arne
Dame Durden William Paxton

A Composer entry I added for William Paxton, via the Add Composer form, has also appeared safely.

Here is a list of the others I requested:
Hodge told Sue Anon c.1760
La Pastorella Anon c.1568
Tant que vivray Claudin de Sermisy
Il estoit une fillette Clement Janequin c.1530
Historians, The John Wall Callcott
Hear my prayer, O Lord Robert Barber
O clap your hands together Robert Barber
Sing we merrily unto God Robert Barber
The beauty of Israel is slain Robert Barber
The night is come Robert Barber
Belle qui tiens ma vie Thoinot Arbeau c.1580

I also used the 'Add Composer' form to request a Composer entry for Robert Barber.

Should I just wait, & the missing entries will appear eventually, or should I enter them myself (I think I can see what to do), in which case am I then in danger of ending up with duplicate entries?

All advice gratefully accepted.

Many thanks
Mandy Shaw

Hello Mandy and Christopher,

Your scores are much appreciated, Christopher, and will be posted (I'm sure) in due time, although there is undoubtedly a backlog and the Memorial Day weekend to contend with, which contribute to the delay. CPDL has no paid staff and so the work done here is done entirely by volunteers. It is possible for contributors to do their own posting of scores, by following the instructions on the page generated when you submit a socre using the Add music form. It mainly involves copying and pasting information from that page. If you try it and have difficulty simply go to the Help:Contents page and follow the instructions in the box at the top of the page (about using {{helpme}}, and one of the volunteers will come to your aid as soon as possible.

Many thanks, I will have a try - was just concerned to avoid any duplicated entries (the ones that did go on were signed by 'Admin', and I thought that might be some sort of automatic process).

Hi again,

"Admin" refers to Rafael Ornes, who founded CPDL and is the chief administrator. There are others of us who are "Beaurocrats or Sysops" who can do a lot of things at CPDL, but, as currently set up, if a user opts to have his/her scores posted by CDPL, it is Raf who does the work, and he has been very busy of late.

Thanks for the clarification - I'll see if I can save him the trouble.
