Confirmation email problem, & greetings
Re: Confirmation email problem, & greetings
OK, that's good. I tried to configure a different SMTP server than the default server used by the wiki, but this was even worse than before, due to other server-to-server security policies, so I eventually left the configuration on our side unchanged.

Re: Amazingly, my ISP have climbed down ...
Mandy, I'm amazed that they have switched off the 'Sender Verify' feature not because it was the right thing to do, but because they "came to the conclusion that the Sender Verify was causing extra load on our servers."

But what is important is that from now on all of their customers will start receiving the emails that were going to the "black hole", thanks to you!

It's not just "more efficient." It's the difference between reaching and not reaching the not small number of ISPs who turn off the SMTP VRFY command, no?
Hurray for improved mail deliverability, and bravo on the good work.
