selecting language in Multi-Category search

Post by vaarky »

Any chance the Multi-Category search can be modified to remove "works in" for each language choice? That way, if someone quickly wants to get to the languages starting with L, for example, they just type L. Must more efficient than scrolling through a bunch of options just because they all start with W. Thanks!

Yes, I think it can be done if all language category names are uniformized, i.e., "Wordless works" would have to be renamed to something in the line of "Works in nnnn". Any suggestions for nnnn? This category currently comprises works having vocalises, onomatopoeic sounds or gibberish texts.

I actually think it's fine to leave it as Wordless Works. I suggest moving it to be the top option in the menu, then the languages alphabetically.

Upon thinking on it more, I realized it wasn't really necessary to rename the Wordless works category, but at the cost of making the code a little bit more complex and prone to error if a new similar category is created one day (not very likely, though).

Anyway, it's done, please check when you have the time and thanks for the suggestion, it was worth it.
