create New Composer Page

Post by Krabat »

Hi,

I would like to create a new composer page with these instructions:

Here is a template for a new composer page. Use the mouse pointer to mark all text on the page that is written in typewriter font to the clipboard (in Windows, for example, with Ctrl-C or Ctrl-C).
In the search window on the left (“search”), enter the name of your composer and click “Go”. Please make sure that you write the composer's name correctly, including accents and other special characters. Also note the correct capitalization and lowercase letters.
On the next page that appears,
you will find the following text above:
There is no page titled ":Your Composer". You can create this page.[/i]

Where is the »Search window on the left?

        I ask for help
        Thank you

        Hi,

There is no page titled ":Your Composer". You can create this page.[/i]

              Hi Bernhard,
              Thanks for willing to contribute.
If you see the https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page/ a search bar is on the left.
But it is also on any CPDL page, in the upper right part.

I am not seeing this either. Are others? In any case, can we create an additional link to it from within the top section of https://www.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Composers ?

When one clicks on "Add scores to CPDL" in the left pane, the Score submission guide is open,
where one sees, on top, a "Quick start - Summary instructions for new or inexperienced users" link
on which is read, at point B. 2. : Search for composer in search bar; also search in Category:Composers. Look also for alternate spellings of composer's name.
then at point B. 5. : If composer is not found, migrate to any composer page, click on "Add new work".

Be cautious, are you sure there isn't already such composer's page?

              I must add:
if you are the arranger, please keep the composer name (including Anonymous, Traditional, etc.)
you will later fill the arranger field and will automatically be added as a composer ;-)
