Replacing my former edition

Post by Imruska »

I want to update some of my older pdf files. The guide says, I have to upload them with the same name as the old one.
However, when I try this, the first lower case letter of the file name is automatically changed into upper case, so that the name of the uploaded file is not identical with the name of the old pdf file, therefore the old file is not replaced.
What can I do then?

Your original files were probably uploaded before CPDL moved to the wiki platform, so they were hosted in a server called "Williams". These old files were migrated to the new server, but they are not managed by the Wiki server and therefore can not be updated via the standard Upload tool. In this case, just upload the new files and replace the old ones by the new ones on each edition. For example, upload file CompositionXX.pdf and replace in your edition the link below
  • [{{SERVER}}/wiki/images/sheet/compositionxx.pdf {{pdf}}]
by
  • [{{filepath:CompositionXX.pdf}} {{pdf}}]

Reason: Corrected "Stanford" with "Williams"
